‘Solved’ - TV Series
Solved presents the career-defining — and sometimes life-changing — cases of police officers and FBI agents. In each episode, a mysterious homicide case unfolds through first person accounts from America’s elite law enforcement officers.
Forensic analysts, trace evidence experts, crime scene technicians, forensic document examiners, forensic linguists, handwriting experts and computer forensic specialists add their incredible investigation techniques to help solve these compelling murder cases.
The 13-episode series features true stories of ruthless killers including a serial package bomber who terrorizes Salt Lake City and is exposed as one of the greatest document forgers of all time; a minor who kills both parents; a missing persons report that uncovers polygamy and a horrific body burial and dismemberment; a husband who kills his wife, but stages the crime scene to look like suicide; an elusive house painter who returns to kill an innocent customer for $143 in jewelry, and one of the largest kidnapping and ransom rings in American history.
I served as an Associate Producer on Solved. Some of my duties included:
- Discovering, researching, and writing up interesting homicide investigations
- Finding, contacting, and convincing police, prosecutors, journalists, and friends to take part in the show
- Setting up complex interview shoots all over the country
- Improving upon and re-writing scripts
- Shooting ‘re-enactments’ with actors, camera crews, etc.
- Tracking down disparate pieces of media for use in the show
- Shepherding the program through post production, and delivering it on time and on budget to the Network.
